Part of my practice is a deeply held belief that supportive care should be financially accessible. I practice therapy with knowledge that I participate in the broader mental healthcare system that often unfairly oppresses those who need care the most. With this knowledge, it’s important for me to widen the net for those I serve through sliding-scale services. As of July 2022, my ten sliding scale slots are closed and my website will be updated when there is availability again.
Insurance
I provide monthly superbills for insurance reimbursement if you have out-of-network coverage. In order to determine your insurance out-of-network mental health benefits, please call your insurance plan (this number is often on your insurance card). These are helpful questions to ask to determine benefits:
Do I need prior approval or a referral to work with an out-of-network provider?
What is my out-of-network deductible?
At what rate does my plan reimburse for out-of-network services after I’ve met my deductible?
Is there an out-of-pocket maximum (amount of spending after which they cover the whole session fee)?
